When you are so far into the rut you're in, you feel like you're there to stay. It's a sad way to live, but getting used to that feeling was easy. I was drained so why not? There was a good month long span after writing "Down I Go," where I didn't even touch any of my gear. But there was this one day where I had to pay a bill and it emptied my bank account. Broke, angry, and depressed something came to me and said, "Hey you need to get these feelings down in sound RIGHT AWAY." So... naturally I began writing. Took me a week and a half to even get a basic structure down, but once I did and started vibing it more, I turned it into this gracious track that I enjoy listening to. I look at it as a means to rethink what I was doing with my life at the time... Which leads into the next track: Retraced Steps.
